Dozens wounded in Lebanon as protesters demand basic rights

For decades now Hezbollah and Iran have focused on securing their positions within the government of Lebanon, building things up only to a point to serve their needs and get some portions of the population on their side. Their goal has not been for the betterment of life for the populace or bringing Lebanon back to the level of quality of life the people once enjoyed, but rather to gain power, establish a power base to complete Iran’s vision of a Shia crescent and to be able to stage actions against Israel. Now, it appears the people are tired of the corruption and being left out in the cold while Hezbollah and Iran have served their own ends.
